Lessons Learned

The most interesting part of my project is getting out into the community. Its nice to meet new people, go to different places, and get to learn new things. My team and I  really enjoy that. Its also a fun thing to do. So far I have met three different people that are involved with the new Safeway. We went to the campus location across from Cheifess Kamakahelei middle school in the Hokulei Village. We learned what other stores are going to be built along with the Safeway.

The biggest roadblock that my team and I handled is when we started to interview there was a microphone problem. The microphone sounded really static. We checked if it was on and we also took out the batteries and put it back in. None of those strategies worked. Then we decided to put the microphone in a different place. We tested it out and it worked! You could hear his voice clear. My team is doing a great job with everything but that's just the biggest roadblock we had so far.

The most valuable part of the filmmaking process is getting it done. My team and I watch over the video a few times and we edit through it to make sure it makes sense and everything is in the right order. We check everything such as the sound quality and b-roll. My team and I worked very hard to get our video done. It takes time and a lot of hard work.

HIKINO Behind the Scenes

My team and I just got done interviewing Jeff Griffin and some other workers that are involved in the new Safeway for our HIKINO project. The new Safeway is across from Cheifess Kamakahelei middle school. Me and my team are working very hard for this project. So far are interviews are going well. We hope that are video will get accepted from HIKINO.

When the camera is not rolling my team and I are either editing the video, double checking the videos, or discussing with each other. Luckily with all the technology we have, we are able to edit the video. When editing the video we can cut out voices and parts of the video that are not needed. When we double check the videos we make sure that we don't have to retake it. When we talk to each other we are planning are positions and sharing are ideas.

One thing that I can do to help my team is to be the interviewer. Most of the time some people on my team rather help with things other than asking questions. For me I enjoy being the interviewer because I love to read and I like to discuss with people. When I am interviewing the person I ask them questions like "how long do you think it would take?" and other questions about are topic. In conclusion my team and I are doing are best to get this video as perfect as we can to get it accepted into HIKINO.
